About the Role:

As a Senior Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for expanding our client’s presence in the office furniture and workplace sector. Your primary focus will be on developing and nurturing relationships with new and existing key stakeholders, driving sales revenue, and exceeding targets. This role offers the chance to work with a dynamic team and make a significant impact on our company’s growth trajectory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve annual sales targets while maintaining pre-agreed margins, with a focus on generating £1-2 million in yearly sales.
  • Develop and implement account strategies to penetrate target customer segments and expand our client base.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with clients, influencers, and internal resources to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Attend meetings and events to enhance account understanding and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
  • Utilize your knowledge of office furniture and workplace design to translate technical aspects into compelling value propositions for customers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of products and services to clients.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience in the office furniture and workplace sector, with a focus on direct B2B sales.
  • Proven track record of success in sales, business development, or consultative selling within a competitive environment, specifically selling into dealers.
  • Strong network of contacts within the industry, particularly in London, and a deep understanding of key actors and influencers.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to grasp technical aspects of furniture and workplace design and translate them into customer-centric solutions.
