Job Title: Quality Assurance and Quality Control Manager - Facades

Job Purpose:

Ensuring the highest achievable level of quality is maintained throughout the business from estimating through design, manufacturing and installation.  Working closely with the Technical Manager and the individual department heads to develop our internal Management System and strive for ISO accreditation.  With the unwavering support of the Management Team you will be tasked with enforcing the implementation of the QA procedures and maintaining the records to demonstrate that those procedures have been followed to the letter in every department.    

Quality Assurance Job Duties:

  • Working together with department heads and the Technical Manager to assess problems and collaboratively develop solutions that form the basis for the new company QA procedures.
  • Regularly audit the all departments to ensure compliance with the “Process Map”
  • Writing and reviewing ITP’s
  • Obtain ISO9001 and ISO14001
  • Maintain our Achilles, Construction Line and CHAS accreditations
  • Perform stress tests that expose where the company needs to improve and in conjunction with the department heads implement changes in those areas.
  • Investigating causes of defects and amend procedures to avoid recurrence.
  • Assessing whether employees need training to prevent mistakes and work with the department head to develop the training plan.
  • Manage the on-site QC staff, ensuring that they are properly trained, maintaining records correctly and communicating failures to the relevant parties.  
  • Suggesting improvements to company infrastructure and processes to prevent future mistakes.
  • Communicating effectively with operatives and QC staff about existing defects and how to prevent them in future products.
  • Communicating with other departments such as project management and engineering to coordinate scheduling for QA testing
  • Reporting discovered defects to all relevant departments for correction
  • Conforming to regulations and international standards when it comes to testing and quality assurance

KPI’s

Year 1 target – to develop the QA procedures to be completely comprehensive.

Year 2 target – to obtain ISO9001

Year 3 target – to obtain ISO14001
