Mechanical Contracts Manager

A client of ours based in Stoke-on-Trent, is seeking a Mechanical Contracts Manager to join their busy work-force due to the significant and continuing expansion of their Mechanical department.

The range of their expertise consist of the design, installation and maintenance of both mechanical and electrical projects consisting of high-end commercial and residential works as well as industrial projects including hospitals and education with the values up to £50,000,000.

They currently operate in the South West region and the successful candidate must be willing to travel in and around Stoke-on-Trent, Birmingham, and surrounding areas.

Mechanical Trade background in Building Services essential, HND/HNC/ONC Qualification desired

Overall Purpose:

  • To organise and deliver engineering services projects.
  • Uphold and communicate the values and culture of the company.
  • Position the client as the Contractor of choice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee nationwide projects alongside assisting Project Manager
  • Ensure all company & department health & safety requirements are complied with.
  • Produce risk and method statements for mechanical services contracts.
  • Ensure each engineering contract operation is carried out profitably and on time.
  • To attend client meetings, design meetings and site meetings
  • Coordinate daily activities of directly employed operatives and agency operatives.
  • Handover contracts on completion and manage aftercare issues.
  • Assist in the weekly compilation of operative timesheets / payments.
  • Assist in the compilation and maintenance of training / plant & van records.

Package: up to £60K + car/allowance (subject to experience)
