Fire alarm Junior Engineer

Established Electrical/Fire alarm Services client based in Essex established for 20+ years  -  seeks Junior Fire alarm Engineer in ESSEX to join their team. Recruiting a Junior Fire alarm engineer to join an established client. Prior fire alarm/ electrical/ electricians mates experience could be beneficial.   The role will involve on the job training/ course training on the service, installation and commissioning of Fire alarms- the learning of how to operate the many different types of systems that exist in the UK.  The main training programme lasts around 3 to 6 months with further reviews & training provided as and when required. They're looking for determined, hard-working candidates who have a strong desire to learn a new trade and are passionate about their work.

About the Role:

  • Junior Fire alarm Engineer - who will learn to Service and Install Fire alarms (addressable and conventional)
  • Making observations regarding deficiencies with the installed system to a basic level
  • Maintain good customer communications
  • Health & Safety & vehicle care and maintenance
  • Participation in the 24 hour on call rota(after training)
  • Most of the work would be located around London and M25

 

About the Candidate:

  • Must reside in the UK - in ESSEX 
  • Must possess a full UK driving license

  • Be able to carry, lift and climb ladders
  • Able to carry equipment up and down ladders
  • Hours: 40 hours/ week with additional overtime available
  • Previous Electrical experience (College) or hands on exp as a mate / fire alarm Trainee/ electrical trade - would be an advantage 

Points of Appeal:

  • A company van will be provided on completion of initial training period for business use.
  • Salary £18,000 - £22,000 (depends on experience
