Overview

My client is a specialist joinery and fit out contractor, who work in high end residential & commercial sectors across the UK.  

They have been established for many years and enjoy considerable repeat business with a varied client base. Their business group is expanding and they now require an experienced Joinery Operations Manager in a newly created role to deal with the London region in overarching management position and report into the Operations Director for the Joinery division.

This is a senior management position with various dimensions to the role. Within the company’s operation there are excellent management and supervisory teams in place and are well equipped to manage the day to day operational and detailed aspects of joinery installation. You will be providing the strategic guidance and vision to develop the business further whilst overseeing and managing the company’s operations.

Location: Central London

The role:

• Previous senior management experience of a commercial joinery operation is important, the ability to stand back and take an overall view of an operation is crucial

• Current joinery business turnover circa £20m, with a view to increase this over the next few years during their ongoing expansion.

• Must be client facing, able to deal with client’s professional teams and inspire confidence and the ability to produce a first class finished product

• Must be able to report on activities

• Detailed joinery and fit out sector experience

• Good knowledge about producing high end joinery packages

• A keen eye on cost along with the ability to deliver quality products on time.

• This is a busy high pressure role and you should be able to function, balancing changing priorities and tight deadlines

• Programming, managing resources effectively, including cost savings and organisational skills

• Polished communicator, engaging with good written and verbal presentation skills

• Confident about your abilities and technical knowledge with the capacity to develop client and business relationships

• Knowledge of standard forms of contract
