Business Development Manager Role

We are currently dealing with a market leading, multi-disciplined interior fit out and joinery installation company based in the London area. The company delivers a diverse portfolio of projects for tier 1 main contractors, developers, consultants and private clients. 

Job Brief
They are looking for a high-performing Business Development Manager to join their expanding group and to become an integral member of their pre-construction team heading up various client facing functions.


  • Be initial and main point of contact for the Group companies in London.
  • Identify and develop sales leads to generate enquiries from new and existing customer base
  • Work alongside office internal sales staff to ensure leads generated are followed up in person.
  • Track enquiries from existing customer base by forming relationships with Main Contractor supply chain personnel
  • Generate and attend customer facing meetings on live projects with Directors and bid team
  • Widen Group understanding of new and existing customers bid process. 
  • Create link between customer site team and estimating team throughout bid process.
  • Understand key customer requirements and price points on bids for each trade and communicate this effectively to estimating team
  • Promote and Co-ordinate group offering for multi discipline packages
  • Track and report enquiry levels monthly
  • Entertain clients and be ‘the face’ of the group in London

Work closely with the Pre-Construction Director to develop new client targets and improve relationships with existing clients.

About the candidate

  • Successful previous experience as a Business Development representative in the interiors fit out or joinery market, consistently meeting or exceeding targets
  • Highly organised and IT literate, working strategically and efficiently
  • Committed to attending workshops, seminars and conferences
  • Demonstrate the ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of an organisation
  • Strong business sense and industry expertise
