Head of Land Remediation / Remediation Director

Our client a leading land remediation company is seeking a Contaminated Land Remediation Senior Manager / Divisional Director to head up a growing part of the company, reporting directly to the groups board, within this highly autonomous role. 

DUTIES

  • Preparation of proposals and tender documentation to secure projects
  • Management of various contaminated land projects including brownfield development, pollution response and remediation
  • Direction and supervision of field work through the project life cycle from investigations to remediation validation
  • Factual and interpretative reporting including quantitative assessment of risks to human health and controlled waters, remedial options appraisals and remedial strategies
  • Health and safety planning including preparation of method statements and risk assessments
  • Manage all aspects of contaminated land investigations and the design and implementation of suitable remediation strategies
  • Management of projects from inception to completion within time and on budget, and that compliance with all Health, Safety and Environmental Regulations is maintained at all times.

CANDIDATE

  • Experience in a similar role is essential, ideally with knowledge of Brownfield Capping, Bioremediation, Stabilisation, Groundwater management / treatment and Off-site removal
  • Highly motivate, with excellent leadership skills
  • Excellent communication and stake holder management skills
  • Relationship builder
  • Demonstrate technical expertise within the role

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate will have a Degree in an environmental discipline
