Humres Engineers are urgently seeking Fire Service and Fault Finding Engineer - Conventional & Addressable Fire Detection Systems, Emergency Lighting Systems etc. for permanent position focused on work in East of England.

About the Role

  • Maintenance of conventional & addressable fire detection systems.
  • Maintenance of emergency lighting systems.
  • Maintenance of automatic opening vents.
  • Testing, fault finding and remedial works to Fire Alarm’s.
  • Fault finding and repairs to above systems.
  • To provide reliable, quality support to our customers at all times.
  • To have a professional telephone and face to face manor.
  • Assist customers and regional team with technical issues either on the phone or face to face.
  • A flexible approach to working hours. Out of hours working will be required at times.
  • Provide technical assistance and provide piece of mind for field engineers.
  • Provide assistance and training to other team members as required.

About the Candidate

  • Must have a high level of experience of our industry.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of fire & security systems.
  • Have a systematic/logical approach to tasks & problems.
  • Good service and fault finding ability
  • Ensure all tasks are carried out quickly & efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Be aware of and responsible for the equipment required to complete the necessary works including emergency van stock.
  • Understand the need for precise completion of paperwork records of jobs and full use of PDA device.
  • A background dealing with and scheduling field based engineers.
  • Willing and able to work well with a team as well as individually, with minimum supervision.
  • Good time management and communication skills - A must.
  • Friendly and “easy going relaxed manner” although committed and dedicated to complete the tasks required.
