Our client currently has an opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join their team in Northern England.

This includes maximising the number of products specified on each project, improving product awareness, sales volumes / gross margin and levels of customer service.

Service-led business unit providing design and construction teams with a comprehensive portfolio of advanced through-wall façade systems suitable for a multitude of performance applications and architectural styles.

About the Role

  • Sole responsibility, with guidance and support from the Directors, for securing turnover of the business
  • To ensure profitable estimates are submitted to satisfy order intake requirements. All estimates are to be presented to the Directors for approval prior to submission.
  • Spotting opportunities for increased margin and exploiting these to the benefit of the Company by working alongside and highlighting to Project / Site Managers and Directors
  • Involved in enquiry selection process, to determine which tenders to quote.
  • Arrange appointments with prospective customers.
  • Carry out company presentations to prospective customers.
  • Achieve agreed monthly KPI targets in relation to customer meetings / quotation output / business generated.
  • Implement improvement / development plans for our existing customers with the objective of increasing turnover and profitability.

  • Proven track record of creating opportunities and specifications which convert into orders
  • A good team member demonstrating an ability to work with the Commercial Team in an appropriate manner and create opportunities / solve problems in a timely fashion
  • Focused and driven on the achievement of all targets / objectives and deadlines.
  • A strong focus on customer service and the needs of customers
  • Well organised and able to prioritise
  • Understanding of company structure, roles and activities
  • Awareness of product range, applications and alternatives
