Trainee Quantity Surveyor Jobs Open Doors to a Successful Career

Trainee quantity surveyor jobs are a very important aspect of the construction industry as they provide a foothold in the industry for the brightest young surveying talent in the UK. During uncertain times with the unstable economy and a General Election in May, making any sort of breakthrough in the career of your choice is a bonus.

For young people looking to begin their career of choice these are undoubtedly worrying times with figures released in April showing a rise in unemployment. The Office for National Statistics said that unemployment increased to 2.5 million, which was the highest level for more than 15 years.

However, it should be reiterated that qualified surveyors are still very much needed in the construction industry in spite of the economic woes currently being endured. That is why anyone interested in pursuing a career in surveying should seriously consider trainee quantity surveyor jobs, to set them off on the right career path.

Many companies offer trainee quantity surveyor jobs for graduates, which then present the opportunity to register for the Assessment of Professional Competence (APC). This is the final step to becoming a Chartered Surveyor, which after at least two years? structured learning in employment could lead to having the letters MRICS after your name.

People still think of surveying as being very much the domain of men only, but this is changing with more and more women entering the profession. The important thing for young men and women is to take on as much responsibility as possible early on to help get ahead in quantity surveying, and build a rewarding career.
