Marketing Director Job a Rewarding Experience
05 March 2010

Taking on a marketing director job can be an exciting yet very demanding challenge given the huge level of responsibility. The next two years will undoubtedly be an even more challenging period for anyone entrusted with a marketing director job in the construction industry.

However, these positions of authority will also bring benefits to those good enough and willing to take up the challenge. Just imagine leading a sales and marketing team that can help a company not only successfully survive the economic downturn, but also thrive and return substantial profits.

As we know the construction industry has been harder hit than most in the UK and other parts of the world. The status and reputation to be gained by anyone carrying out a successful marketing director job in the construction industry would be extremely high.

Of course we all want to be suitably rewarded for our endeavours and companies will do so in various ways, which has been highlighted in the banking industry over the past 18 months or so. So what can a marketing director expect to earn in terms of a basic salary?

Naturally the numbers may vary across industries as well as depending upon the level of experience. On average in the UK a marketing director with one to four years experience would expect to earn between ?25,697 and ?70,589.

There is a huge difference in the ranges there so you would have to be a top performer by year four to reach the top end of the scale, and perhaps more realistically would achieve that goal by year 10. However, the incentives are there and as we all know the better you are at your job, the demand for your services should increase along with your salary.
