Logistics Jobs Drive Online Recruitment Growth

Logistics jobs drive online recruitment growth
Whilst there may still be job cuts ahead as Government spending measures begin to bite, some areas of the economy are driving a recovery in online recruitment. A major UK measure of employment has found that the manufacturing and construction sectors are expanding as more and more logistics and construction jobs are created.
Employment index shows strong supply of construction jobs
The Monster Employment Index UK found that online recruitment demand from UK companies increased by 9 per cent between January and February 2011 with strong showings from both the manufacturing and construction sectors.
The Index found that web recruitment demand now stands at its highest level since the pre-recession days of late 2008.
The research found that a fall in demand from the public sector was balanced by increases in online advertisements for post, transport and logistics jobs.
Positive view for people looking for logistics jobs
Isabelle Ratinaud, from Monster, said the February’s figures were a milestone for industries in the UK, and presented a positive view for people looking for jobs.
"Many sectors that were said to be struggling, such as construction, have shown a strong recovery this month, while others, particularly those relating to manufacturing, have performed well, partly due to growing trade in the export sector.”
"The figures are positive for jobseekers who can feel confident that there are an increasing number of roles available."
So, if you are looking for construction or logistics jobs, now could be the time to head online. With online recruitment demand at a three year high, it could be the perfect opportunity to find your new logistics job.
