Leading facilities management companies set up groundbreaking alliance
2011 has already been a groundbreaking year in the facilities management industry. On the back of reports confirming that the sector continued to grow in 2010 against a tough economic backdrop, two leading facilities management firms have established a groundbreaking alliance in order to take on a major new UK contract.
Inviron and Europa Support Services have teamed up to supply facilities management services to Capital Shopping Centres (CSC) and the alliance is believed to be an industry first.
Facilities management jobs available as sector grows
Despite the ongoing economic problems in the UK, facilities management remains a growth industry. Recent figures from Management Market Development (MMD) showed that the sector grew by one per cent in 2010; great news for anyone looking for facilities management jobs.
Now, facilities management firms Europa Support Services and Inviron have established an alliance with Capital Shopping Centres (CSC). The two firms will supply both hard and soft facilities management services to CSC's shopping centres across the UK. CSC has a ?4.9 billion portfolio of thirteen high quality shopping centres, totalling over 14.1 million sq ft, nine of which are in town centres. They include Nottingham?s Victoria Centre, Eldon Square in Newcastle and the Manchester Arndale centre.

Europa will provide soft services in a continuation of its five-year relationship with CSC whilst Inviron will provide hard services, including the maintenance of all electrical systems and building fabric infrastructure.
Trevor Pereira, commercial director of CSC, said: "Both partners were chosen due to the strength of their people and culture and the supportive relationship they provide. They displayed proven ability to lead, manage and deliver a range of services for significant benefit to the CSC business and to our people."
