Get Additional Training to Help Land Sales and Marketing Jobs
26 March 2010
Anyone struggling to even get interviews for sales and marketing jobs should be thinking about how they can change their fortunes. After all it is very competitive out there in the job market, but that doesn?t mean job seekers should give up all hope.
The biggest hope we can all cling on to is that the country is turning the corner economically and that employment rates will grow quickly. Of course there will be some uncertainty until the next general election as nobody knows which party will be running the country, so what should job seekers do in the meantime to improve their prospects?
Presentation is of course important, so having an up to date CV written accurately is a good start, and there are many tips on the internet available to help improve this, including on this website under the ?register your CV? tab. When you get interviews for sales and marketing jobs you also need to look and act smart.
However, when you are between jobs it pays to be seen to have done something with your time that you can add to your CV. No matter what age you are, additional training is a great way to do this and provides you with additional skills as well as looking good on a CV.
The saying ?you can?t teach an old dog new tricks? is complete nonsense when it comes to improving your job prospects, and the chances of being hired for sales and marketing jobs will be greatly enhanced by more training. Therefore it is worth checking out the courses on offer with organizations such as the Institute of Sales and Marketing Management or the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
