Engineering a Way to Earn Construction Jobs in Ireland
A move across the Irish Sea can be an attractive proposition for some British people, but unfortunately construction jobs in Ireland are relatively scarce. Ireland has been badly hit by the economic strife that has affected much of the European Union, and as such their construction industry has taken a big hit.
However, for those British workers keen on a move to Ireland the prospects of earning a job in the construction industry are not totally gloomy. There are certain areas of the industry where the Irish are experiencing skill shortages, and British workers with these skills may just have a chance of finding construction jobs in Ireland.
Engineering is one such area and qualified British engineers are often sought after in many countries across the world. This is not the perfect time to find construction jobs in Ireland given the state of the economy, but excellent engineers could still be of big value to the Irish construction industry.
The Irish Government is also keen to produce 40 percent of the country?s electricity by renewable means by 2020. However, the Irish workforce also a skills shortage in the area of green technologies, which is something the British have been keen to promote for several years now.
Given the unemployment levels in Ireland at the moment, perhaps there is an opportunity for British engineers and experts in green technologies to offer assistance. This could be in the form of training and helping Irish workers to develop skills to help pull their construction industry out of its current woes.
