Adapting to Change as Industrial Construction Jobs do Their Bit for the Environment

Whilst taking a look through the vacancies on the Humres website, job seekers will see numerous industrial construction jobs appearing with more frequency. The new vacancies cover various different roles within the construction industry such as draughtsmen, estimators, business development managers and engineers.

One area of industrial construction jobs that seems to crop up quite a lot is in industrial roofing. This is another area of the industry that requires ever evolving skills and knowledge driven by environmental concerns.

The trend seems increasingly to be veering towards applied roofing systems and an increasing preference for PVC. This means that people working in the construction industry and specifically in industrial roofing have had to adapt to changing times and opinions on how to be more energy efficient.

Therefore it is very important for British businesses and employees to keep up to date with new technologies and adapt to the new trends in industrial roofing. Job seekers looking for industrial construction jobs should look to enhance their skills by seeking additional training.

There are a number of training schemes available in the UK that are suitable for school leavers looking to join the profession. For example new entrant training aims to train young people in roofing to ensure a good number of qualified new entrants join the industry.

Existing industrial roofers can also take further training in schemes such as on site assessment and training (OSAT) and Upskilling. Whatever area of the construction industry you work, it never hurts to add another string to your bow.
