A Great Way to Get Your Career Started Through Apprentice Construction Jobs
23 August 2010

Apprentice construction jobs are a fantastic way of getting a foot into the job market while learning fantastic trades or skills. For youngsters who have just finished school or university and are looking for work, apprentice construction jobs could be the ideal starting point on their desired career path.

In fact they look all the more appealing with the British Government increasing funding for apprentice schemes, whilst cutting funding for adult learning. Not only does this apply to apprentice construction jobs but also in areas not traditionally associated with such schemes, such as sales and marketing.

Talking about apprentice schemes Chris Jones, the director general of City & Guilds, said that it ?gives employers more choice and if the person enters the organisation earlier they are contributing more quickly.? Apprentice schemes are very workable and useful tools both for employers and employees.

The main attraction for the apprentice is they can earn as they learn meaning they can get the best of both worlds. Not only are apprentices entitled to a salary but employers should also allow them time off work in the same way they would any other employee.

For many it is also easier to learn their trade by getting stuck in and learning on the job rather than studying, and this probably applies as much to the construction industry as any other. Local job centres and recruitment agencies will be able to provide advice and guidance about apprentice schemes in your area including apprentice construction jobs.
