A Good Deal for Green Construction Industry Jobs

The hunt for a construction industry job could be made a little easier for some job seekers in the UK with one of the recent announcements from the government. The UK economy could be boosted with an additional 100,000 jobs as part of the government?s ?green deal?.

Energy and Climate Secretary, Chris Huhne announced details of the plan at the beginning of November. Essentially the plan will enable homeowners and businesses to upgrade the energy efficiency of their properties and pay back the cost from the savings made on energy bills.

This will be welcome news for anyone looking for a construction industry job as the UK seeks to meet its 2020 carbon budgets. This is just one many initiatives to cut back on carbon emissions in this country that will hopefully have a positive impact on the construction industry.

As a result of these initiatives the number of skilled insulation specialists suggests that there will be a drive to recruit and train more people creating more construction industry jobs. Installers looking for new business opportunities and additional skills should push ahead by enrolling on courses sooner rather than later.

In an industry that is adapting to change, it is vitally important that job seekers do all they can to make themselves more marketable by learning new skills. Given the drive for greener energy in the UK and across the world, retraining in these areas within construction could prove to be very productive.
