Acting as Job Leader managing single or multi-disciplinary projects.
 
Operating and competently working on an independent basis
 
Communicating directly with clients, developing and maintaining key client relationships, maximizing opportunities for repeat business. 

Preparing technical and financial proposals for new work.
 
Planning and monitoring job resourcing/expenditure and adjust as necessary.
 
Managing workload of Project Discipline Engineers and Technicians. 

Preparing and taking responsibility for concept and preliminary engineering solutions for detail design.
 
Preparing Technical Specifications.
 
Checking/verifying other team members work.
 
Monitoring financial performance of jobs. 

Being alive to new project opportunities.
 
Setting up and managing job/project administrative systems. 

Continually ensuring that practices, policies, strategy and services represent the client\'s best interests.

Degree in Engineering plus relevant post graduate professional experience.
 
Chartered or Member of a relevant Institution. 

Good IT skills, Good communication skills, dealing with other employees and external clients * Confident, proactive character, ability to take the lead in challenging situations.
 
Be a committed and talented mechanical designer with experience working in an engineering consultancy environment, creating exciting and appropriate design solutions.

Capable of managing and delivering multiple projects through a team of engineers, supporting them through to project completion. 

Ability to co-ordinate with the other discipline Engineers within the practice to produce multidisciplinary design solutions for clients.
