Largest M&E Contractor in the UK currently requires experienced Mechanical and Electrical Quantity Surveyor with excellent experience of NEC contracts. This position will be site-based in locations around the Olympics Village and related projects.


About the Client:
Our client is the largest M&E Contractor in the UK and is currently preparing for Olympic projects, all contracts are NEC. They typically work on projects above 15 million in both private and public sectors. They have completed many landmark projects and are a well-known and respected brand.


About the Role:
  • Overseeing NEC Contracts.
  • Overseeing the placing of all major plant and sub-contract orders.
  • Applications, cash collection, debtors, monitoring cost control systems.
  • Setting up new systems and procedures, reporting profitability of projects.
  • Producing reports monthly on the business accounts, liasing with the client and their representatives and assisting in cost plans and reports.
  • Working very closely with the client and the client team on site.


About the Candidate:
  • Must have good experience with NEC contracts.
  • Excellent M&E experience with M&E subcontractors.
  • Experienced in undertaking feasibility studies.
  • Knowledge of advising on procurement strategy for job in hand.
  • Expert in analysing and developing responses to commercial risks on large multimillion pound projects.
  • Knowledgeable on tenders and financial control systems.
  • Excellent understanding of post and pre construction contractual issues.
  • Lives within commutable distance to East London/Stratford.
