Planning & Controls Manager Job - Rail Vacancies

Our client is a market leader in track renewals, rail services and engineering.  They are continually looking to invest in highly specified, modern, innovative plant in order to improve output and service delivery and play their part in delivering a world-class railway network

• Deliver an efficient planning function that is able to provide the Project Division with necessary information to deliver a project
• Agree annual budgets as well as establishing and maintaining the cost control process
• Define, implement and maintain an effective way of working across the division that applies project management principles in line with the companies ethos
• Interface with the General Managers and Director of Project Delivery to develop client relationships

• Proven experience of team leadership
• Experience of managing a business function with financial accountability
• Knowledge of rail operating environment, standards and safety procedures
• Previous experience of project management, project planning and project cost engineering essential
• Good communication and negotiation skills
• Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
• Must be competent in planning software including Primevera and Time Chainage
