About the Client:
An outstanding salary package is now on offer for a Mechanical (Plumbing, Heating and Ventilation) Estimator to join a successful plumbing and heating contractor – turnover for 2008 - 10 million with excellent profit margins.
Our client is a preferred supplier of mechanical building services to many of the biggest residential and commercial building contractors within the M25 area with a bias towards contracts in the East of London.
The company is offering big potential for the right candidate to take on senior responsibility early in the role with the chance of early promotion. You will be the newest member of an established estimating team valuing works up to 4 million. Over the last three years the company has moved from 7 to 10 million in annual turnover and is well on target to achieve its projections for 2008 and 2009 growth.
With these projections the payout on the bonus scheme for this year and next looks excellent.
About the Role:
Estimator reporting to the Director.
Taking responsibility for the entire role of estimating, tendering and project management as required.
Key tasks: Providing clients with accurate and profitable contract tenders.
Interpreting specifications and reading architect drawings.
Estimating costs of resources and submitting tenders in consultation with the Managing Director
Ensuring that all contracts run to time and specification through effective project management Planning and monitoring, the management and support of the company’s contract Supervisors.
Management of each contract’s accounts to ensure that they are running to budget.
Liaison with clients and specialist subcontractors.

You will be a vital part of the company as estimating is essential in contributing to profitability.
