A Planner with excellent technical Mechanical and Electrical knowledge is required for a M&E Contractor to work in the South East/London.
Our client is a leading M&E contractor with a turnover of 300 million GBP per annum. They work in all areas of M&E contracting such as education, health and rail. They urgently require a M&E Planner. The knowledge of M&E building services engineering is essential to apply for this position. The software used is Asta Power Project.
- Compile project programme: drawings, installation & procurement
- Evaluate problem areas and highlight areas of concern
- Analyse information supplied by suppliers/sub-contractors
- Accumulate data from all parties
- Monitor progress: installation, procurement, designs and drawings
- Check on progress
- Review any possible delays
- Monitor material deliveries and drawing production
- Prepare targets, review results and report
- Target work areas
- Review progress
- Prepare detailed reports
- Forecast progress
- Preparation of tender programmes
- Evaluate contract programme
- Produce tender programme
- Asta Power Project knowledge is essential
- M&E knowledge is essential
- You must come from a background of Mechanical and Electrical contracting
- Understanding of estimating/tender procedures (materials, procurement)
- Understanding procurement and lead-in times
- Knowledge of drawing production (design) procedures
- Installation construction and methodology
- Knowledge of project management software
- Understanding, producing and monitoring a construction programme
- Producing meaningful and constructive reports
- Knowledge of planning techniques
- Financial understanding of materials and labour cost
- Identify risks and possible delays and action
- Use of and understanding assigning resources
- Use of and understanding assigning costs
