About the Client:
Our client currently has fantastic growth in Commercial and Industrial sectors with a current turnover of £140,000,000. They are now looking to acquire a M&E Coordinator to join their thriving business. The company are currently looking for an experienced guy with a design side, to join a winning team and help the organisation achieve their growth targets for 2009 and in to the future.


About the Role:
  • To make design/installation decisions without external references where applicable
  • To chair design and progress meetings both on and off site
  • Would be required to make design/installation decisions when they cannot be taken at site level and able to contact the relevant person or company that would resolve the situation in the time period
  • Would be required to be self sufficient to create your own site library for i.e. documentation files, construction drawings design schedules, minute files
  • To access the quality of the M&E design drawings, Construction drawings and M&E Technical schedules and comment on them accordingly
  • To create a comprehensive technical query schedule for both M&E works, incorporating information issued by the various sub-contractors
  • To prepare M&E method statements, works schedules and snagging schedules
  • To make comments on the items of M & E works included within the construction master programme
  • To discuss the commission works for both M&E works with the various commissioning engineers and witness same to ensure their method statement is being adhered to
  • To comment on as fitting drawings, O&M documentation and Commission Documentation
  • Will be required to organise clients hand over procedure which will include a demonstration of the services


About the Candidate:
  • Ability to understand financial results/implications of M&E design to each contract.
  • Ability to understand contract conditions.
  • Effective organisation and utilisation of resources.
  • Ability to set up and manage work programmes using Microsoft Project.
