About the Client:
Our client is an independent glazing and cladding contractor providing new innovative solutions for their clients. They are capable from taking a project from the Design stage all the way through to completion ensuring the best value for money along with exceptional workmanship. They now have an opportunity for an intermediate estimator to build their career with strong, long term prospects.
About the Role:
Working alongside the estimating Manager, you will be at a level where you can work on your own, so experience within curtain walling and relevant packages like excel and Schuco is required
Review and report on the clients’ enquiries to enable a decision to be made on their bid
Prepare accurate cost estimates for the indirect resources required to carry out works in accordance with the agreed programme and engineering requirements
Present the prepared tender documents to the Estimating Manager
Ensure that the best possible and most market competitive prices are submitted in all instances
Attend meetings off-site with the Commercial team when required
About the Candidate:
Minimum of three years experience in an Estimating role within Curtain Walling
Ability to read and understand tender documents, specifications, drawings and Terms & Conditions
Experienced in Excel and Schuco packages
Lead by example, demonstrate trust in the team and portray expertise in the role
Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
Ideally based in the Essex, Cambridge, Norfolk or Suffolk areas.
