About the Client:
An outstanding salary package with excellent bonus is now on offer for an Electrical Estimator to be part of an estimating team, with work secured for 2010 in excess of 25 million. With solid success over the last 10 years our client is a regularly winning high-profile contracts with leading main contractors and interiors companies in London and the South East, average value of these contracts is 2-3 million with work tendered up to 15 million. Our client is aiming for another 10 years of sustained growth: growth in the markets that it operates in is dictated by the success and number of relationships it has in the interiors and main contracting markets. Our client’s exceptional success is based on a strong strategy of securing preferred supplier status with the cream of the interior sector and reducing risk in a fiercely competitive market place - that is seeing a major trend away from two stage negotiated work to fixed price work. In this fast track environment of fully designed work the contractor needs to be right on the number when tendering.
About the Role:
Attend tender meetings with client/professional team and carry out site surveys/visits as required, undertake sub contract enquiries. Also attending post tender meetings.
Using “Estimation” software you will be responsible for securing earmarked projects in a highly competitive bid environment.
You will ensure that all tenders priced-up are accurate, competitive and timely.
Examination of tender documentation and compliance.
About the Candidate:
Needs at least 5 years of dedicated and proven estimating experience with an Electrical Building Services Contractor in South East / M25.
Good understanding and ability of reading of technical drawings, schematics and technical specifications.
You will currently be working for a recognised electrical contractor in the South East.
Good understanding of the client base that you will be tendering for.
Experienced in Excel and estimating software such as Estimation.
