Based South West England.
Our client are a renewable company supplying warm water underfloor heating air source, ground source , exhaust air heat pumps and solar thermal to the domestic market. Routes to market are direct supply to the trade installer, house builder and self build markets. Turnover for 2009 will be £11m. We employ approximately 100, based in the South West of England.
Key relationships: Directors, Trade Sales Manager, Product Development Manager, Marketing Manager
Our client are targeting the supply of renewable products into the commercial/industrial sector starting January 2010. Having already supplied limited number of underfloor heating systems into this market, they want to more aggressively target this area with underfloor, heat pumps and solar thermal. They feel that with the expansion of the heat pump requirement into these sectors they are now perfectly positioned to exploit this potential. Our client distributes some of the world’s most renowned brands in these sectors.
They require a Divisional Sales Manager with strategic experience and contacts within this sector. They should be able to build a team able to determine the technical requirements of the projects, put together a detailed and accurate proposal and secure the order and ensuring that the design reflects the specification requirements. Post order support will also be the responsibility of the manager, delivered through the dedicated support team. Ultimately they are required to achieve targets and business objectives set by the company.
- Must understand and have contacts with M&E Contractors and Consultants. Mitie, Lorne Stewart, Rotary, Crowne house, Skanska, Etc.
- The person needs to demonstrate that they are technically competent in the areas of underfloor and heat pump design. Flexible on this.
- The will have had experience within the commercial/industrial sector and have significant contacts within the M&E consultants and contractors.
- They will need to demonstrate sales success throughout their career.
- They should be a successful manager and be able to demonstrate management experience.
- They should understand the legal, H&S requirements of contracts secured.
- An excellent communicator both verbally and written
- Strong IT skills
- This role would progress on to a Directorship within 3-5 years
