About the Role:
Attendance at handover and project strategy meetings;
Allocation of appropriate quantity surveying resource to individual contracts;
Checking and agreeing contract documentation;
Monitoring design department expenditure on individual contracts with the Technical Manager;
Managing the procurement of sub contractors including signing off all sub contract tender/order comparisons and sub contractor orders;
Evaluation and negotiation of contractual and commercial issues;
Ensuring applications for payment and budgets/prices for contract variations are submitted at the appropriate level and in a timely manner;
Monitoring client payment to ensure that they are fairly valued and payment is received on time;
Preparing the monthly sales margin forecast, cost valuation report
Managing the payment of sub contractors including Subcontract Payment Authorisations;
Hold regular department meetings and ensure effective communication channels are established and maintained.
Monitor and assist in the personal development of all members of the commercial department;
Implement and maintain sound commercial practices.
About the Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years experience within interior fit out industry. Experience of surveying an advantage. Commercial awareness is essential.
