Commercial Manager Job - M&E Contracting Vacancies

A fantastic opportunity has arisen with a major M&E Contractor for an ambitious Commercial Manager who wants to progress their career.

Our client is a leading National M&E Contractor turning over in excess of £200M. Due to ambitious plans and strategic growth they are looking for someone to lead the Divisions Commercial process to ensure a turnover and associated profit of £50m per year is achieved. This is a senior role in the Division reporting directly to the Directorship.

• Tendering decisions • Examining contracts and negotiating satisfactory terms • Business planning and monitoring • Policy practice and priorities • Liaison with engineering, estimating and buying departments • Monitoring and subcontractor control • Commercial and contractual compliance • Contractual claims, briefing and managing lawyers and experts • Training, managing and monitoring of Quantity Surveyor (QS) team and engineering staff

• Proven commercial experience within the Mechanical and/or Electrical industry. • Formal relevant commercial qualification • Able to support, challenge and develop others so that they can give their best and deliver against expectations • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, impressing others and ensuring understanding of all relevant information in all circumstances • Ability to understand and apply commercial and financial principals, viewing issues in terms of costs, profits/ returns, budget control, markets and added value • Experience in managing a team to maximise their contributions and effectiveness, influencing personal commitments
