Experienced Civils Quantity Surveyor required for new Project

Our client is a civil engineering, earth moving and engineering contractor. The company operates nationally with its headquarters in Essex. They have been established for over 50 years and run as a multi-disciplined construction company, they can undertake works in the role of main contractor, sub contractor, design and build contractor or developer. They have just won a new project in South London and are now looking to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor within the Civil Engineering sector

•Check and advise on contract documentation
•Implement risk and value management systems and cost control procedures
•Assist with preparation of project financial forecasts
•Deal with contractual correspondence
•Identify change. Implement change control procedures and contractual notices
•Prepare and submit interim and final applications for payment
•Manage payment and debt recoveries
•Negotiate with clients’ representatives, sub-contractors, suppliers and third parties
•Deal with project insurance issues and claims

•Experience in the commercial management of civil engineering projects
•Sound knowledge of contractual arrangements
•General understanding of contract law
•Demonstrates commercially awareness
•Good administrative and financial skills
•Computer literate
•Hands-on approach to all aspects of measurement, valuation and cost control
•Good communication and client-facing skills
