One of the country’s leading curtain walling contractors is looking to recruit for an experienced business development manager. They are in a fortunate position of having a healthy order book and are looking to benefit from the BSF and the commonwealth games in Scotland.
Our client is a leading specialist sub contractor who has been established now for well in excess of 50 years. They have an excellent reputation and have undertaken numerous prestigious projects on a national basis. Due to their location they tend to undertake the majority of their projects in the North of England and Scotland.
• Developing tender opportunities for business throughout Scotland • Dealing with main contractors, PQS firms and developers • Creating relationships with main contractors so as to make our client a preferred bidder • Gaining an idea of what budgets clients have to work within • Working to a target for new business • Helping the Scottish region grow and increase turnover
• Must have experience of working for a specialist sub contractor • Building envelope experience is preferred but not essential • Previous knowledge and experience of selling a service to main contractors • Able to work on own initiative and closely with the estimating department • Good rapport building skills and able to close deals
