Our client is an international multi-disciplinary practice with a rapidly growing workload in facade consultancy. They currently have a turnover in excess of £200M and employ over 5000 employees.
They are currently looking to employ an Associate.
Responsible for managing all aspects of a portfolio of jobs as project manager in conjunction with a project director or associate director on major/complex projects could take the role of project engineer
Projects could be multi-disciplinary but will generally be single discipline
Liaising with client/design team/contractor.
Ensuring QA policy and CDM requirements are satisfied.
Ability to represent the practice on the projects under his/her control.
Hold regular team meetings.
Be responsible for leading a team of engineers in conjunction with another associate involving:-
Ability to manage team of 12/15.
Agree design philosophy/design fundamentals.
Review and comment on deliverables produced by the team on a regular basis.
On average a minimum of 8 years experience, qualified as A Chartered Engineer.
Have a proven track record in design with different types of materials and structures including steel, concrete, timber, load bearing, masonry, new build, refurbishment, deep basements etc.
Have a proven record as a Project Engineer on a number of projects.
Be able to motivate and lead professional teams to deliver client solutions.
Be commercially astute.
Demonstrates all round technical competence.
Have a good knowledge of concept design, buildability, detailed design, construction techniques, procurement routes, risk assessment and claim assessment.
Have a detailed knowledge of analytical concepts.
Have a detailed knowledge of our delivery in CAD standards and 3D working.
Be experienced and competent at:
Presenting to clients
Preparing client/project proposals for agreement with a Director.
Negotiating fee proposals and requesting additional fees where possible.
Constructing project teams from internal and external resources.
Procuring project resources
Planning projects
